Katie was a breeze of a bride. From day one, she had a clear vision and made decisions with confidence. As a planner, there’s nothing better than a client who trusts the process and brings joy to every step. Dream client status? 100%.

What made this wedding even more memorable for me, though, had nothing to do with color palettes or timelines. Two days before Katie’s wedding, I received devastating news: my husband’s cancer had returned. It was heavy and terrifying, but thanks to an incredible vendor team and a kind, grounded couple, the day felt like a bright spot in a hard season. And for that, I’ll always be grateful.

Let’s talk about the details, because wow, did this wedding deliver!

Getting ready on-site at the Seattle Tennis Club made everything feel seamless and relaxed. Katie and her girls looked adorable in their matching pink striped pajamas, laughing and soaking in the morning light on the balcony overlooking Lake Washington. There’s something so special about a slow, joyful morning with your people.

Katie’s vision was all about soft elegance: warm creams, dusty pinks, buttery yellows. Her bouquet was bouncy and romantic, full of texture and movement. The sleeves on her dress? Absolutely swoon-worthy. And she wore her natural curls for the big day, which felt both fresh and deeply her.

Seattle Tennis Club sits right on the water, and the couple shared their first look on the dock, with Lake Washington sparkling behind them.

It was your typical overcast Seattle day but Mount Rainier did make an appearance during the ceremony!

I love how the venue is matching our wedding!

For the ceremony, we created a floral story that began with gathered vessels at the beginning of the aisle and built to a full, lush meadow at the altar. We chose a meadow to keep the view of the water unobstructed. The venue itself looked like it wanted to be part of this wedding, it matched the aesthetic perfectly.

We did a stone charge with knot napkin fold. The place cards outer edge were all color coated based on the entree they selected.

Every wedding has at least one hiccup, ours came two weeks out when the gourmet s’mores vendor ghosted us after going out of business. (Truly, a worst case scenario.) But we pivoted quickly and brought in Hello Robin cookies alongside a playful groom’s cake

The ceremony florals weren’t done after “I do.” We repurposed them in front of the live band to create an organic, textural stage moment that also hid all the pesky cords. It’s a favorite trick of mine, and the end result was stunning.

The sky gave us one final gift, double rainbow! Pure magic!
